HERE TO HELP
Welcome to my site, I hope the information here assures you that having some help can be a positive step towards changing things in your life for the better. Thank you for taking a look, Cal Nield.
If you are reading this, then chances are you are looking into therapy and perhaps are struggling with some difficult things. You may have taken a big step in acknowledging this, and an even bigger one perhaps in thinking about seeking ‘outside’ help. I hope the information here helps to assure you it can be a positive step towards resolving or changing things in your life for the better.
We are all shaped by our individual experiences and journey in life, and sometimes feel struck, or held back, when patterns in life seem to recur. I aim to help in just a part of your journey. Sometimes we realise that relationships keep going the same way in not working out, or we struggle to feel secure or to manage our emotions. These are often the kinds of issues people want to explore. Whatever your ‘issue’ is, there is a way of understanding it to gain a perspective where there are new possibilities.
I have experience of helping with a broad range of personal emotional and relationship difficulties. If you feel you have difficulty in managing stress, anxiety, anger or depression, or feel that you seem to end up back in a familiar place, or feel struck in your life in some way, Cognitive Analytic Therapy might help to make sense of things and find alternative strategies for better outcomes. Therapy aims initially to understand how problems originated and how problematic patterns have become repetitive and negatively impact on relationships and on personal well-being.
HOW I CAN HELP YOU
Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT)
Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) can help to make sense of things and help find more helpful ways of managing yourself, or relating to others. So, if you feel you have difficulty in managing your emotions, or experience anxiety, or depression, have difficulties with self-esteem, or with self-image, or have problems with ‘self-regulation’, (for example if you use food/money/alcohol to help manage distress or difficult feelings), then CAT is likely to be helpful for you, particularly if you have a curiosity to understand more about yourself and to make sense of your experiences, and want to be able to move forward.
OTHER SERVICES THAT MIGHT HELP YOU
I offer a FREE initial 20 minute telephone consultation to discuss which service will suit your needs.
